Painting No.2
Created by nb+designs Jan.2011
Green Abstract
Description:Painting No.2 is a lovely, earthy green, leafy background with hints of gold brushed washed over with a simple striped grey design. This piece is framed in a dark 3" wood frame with a tiny beaded design in the frames interior edge.
nb+design's view: Even though Venice was a beautiful painting, I wanted to take inspiration from one of my favorite artist, Maurice Denis. No, this piece is not an inspired piece based off his beautiful portrait of "The Muses", however; there is a lady in the inspiration piece, I personally find each piece enveloping. I happened across this one particular painting one rainy afternoon as I was strolling through, The Frist Museum. There she stood "Eva Meurier in a Green Dress 1891" if only, one could be more enraptured by a simple painting. A single element that has inspired Painting No.2 is how Denis painted over a painting, my initial thought was, "how resourceful!" From that moment on, Denis has had my heart.
